To the Death

After receiving a SOS from the USG Ishimura, you are called in with a team to investigate and repair the Ishimura. After arriving, the Ishimura is a wreck and is abandoned. The ship that housed 1,332 crew sits abandoned within deep space. With sight of no human life the earie feeling that something is wrong with the Ishimura. Venture into the Ishimura to discover the truth about what happen to the Ishimura and its crew.

Role: Level Design

I was assigned to pick a Shooter type of game which I picked Dead Space. For the assigned I needed to grab references of top-down layout of the game and choose three unique locations in order to put together in a single level. Then I needed to grab reference of the game and locations in order to re-create those locations. After we need to put bots in the level which I chose to re-create the enemy of that franchise. Once the bots where put in the level, many play test were conducted in order to balance out the level and gameplay of the project. A difficulty that I found doing in the project was finding assets that that followed the theme of Dead Space. In the end, I balanced the game to make sure the game felt like Dead Space.
